Default Mitas 10.50-16 tyre

Not a 9.00-16, but it may be good to know that the Mitas 10.50-16 tyres do not fit the split rim. The tyre fitting shop gave it a try but they told me it will not go on.

So I am now looking for someone who can machine the rim to reduce the diameter.

Default fitting those tires

I don't see any lubricant on those tires... I've used tire lubricant and have had success even with very tight tires.

True, I may need to give it a go myself or try another tyre shop.
