Nothing against Jimmy Carter's business but I doubt that any of the pumps I see on his web site are an exact fit for the CMP which has the one hole style backing plate.
I believe this text is from the listing mentioned above: "When installing a 1955-1962, 235 or 261 six cylinder engine in the shorter 1937-1955 Chevrolet truck.". In other words it is for modifying the later "pump-in-block" style engines to fit earlier vehicles (and also doesn't address the vertical position of the fan with respect to the radiator). |
