Background Mystery Vehicle?
A question for Mike Kelly from the pictures you first posted. I see what is probably a MK3 Covenanter gun Tank parked next to the Carrier in image 379/08 . I thought the only Covenanter Tanks in Australia were Bridge layers,
have you come across other pictures that show the Covenanter in Australia? Thanks Andrew.

Crusader Mk.1
The tank to the left of the carrier is a British Cruiser Tank Mk.6-Crusader Mk.1. It was purchased as an example of modern armour for use as a reference sample in the development of the Australian tank. It arrived in August 1941.
