The starting date will be in early July 2005 (first week) with the arrival in Alice Springs to coincide with celebrations at the "Transport Hall of Fame".

The road conditions on the Gunbarrel change with the seasons and there are good and bad parts which change daily. There are several jeep and trailer combos already signed up for this event. Most people will be taking trucks as you can sleep in them and the bigger the tyre the better the run along the gravel.

It's not my place to give out Bob's contact details but ask anyone in any of the military vehicle clubs on your side of the paddock as he is well known to them.
