Tom and I discussed the preservation of the bare (shiny) metal. In the museum game, as well as some firearms enthusiasts who collect rather than shoot, wax is the answer. It will last a lot longer than oil before requiring re-application.

All you need are three Windsor carriers and a mortar trailer to drag the thing around. And don't forget the megaphone for shouting orders
