It so happened that this Ford also landed at my place
I need help identifying the number I discovered under layers of old paint. It is the number 57 painted in white paint on a purple background. The number is above the front right headlight. I'm interested in what Allied unit this vehicle served in Last edited by Darek B; 09-10-24 at 19:55.

57 painted in white paint on a purple background?

"57" on a red background could indicate the Junior Infantry Battalion of the Senior Infantry Brigade. I cannot find a 57 on a purple background but I may have overlooked it?
