Thank you Chris. I only have fatigue and a stuffed up nose at this point. Despite my living in the same home as a covid positive person, my isolation ends on Saturday, so I will be able to go to town and get her some meals along with groceries. Being fully vaccinated (for all the good it did me) gives me that privilege. I had to ask the health nurse 3 times to confirm.

Being fully vaccinated doesn't mean you can't catch it (I'm fully vaccinated but working from home (one advantage of computers) and wear an N95/FFP3 mask if I have to go out shopping - that cuts the risk dramatically).
Vaccination reduces the risk of serious illness, so you may get it and feel like crap for a while but your immune system will deal with it. Not being vaccinated means your body can be overwhelmed by the infection and "serious injury or death may result" (not to mention apparent permanent loss of the senses of smell and taste). (Covid affects the brain FFS!) The "antivax idiots" and UK government are responsible for a very large number of unnecessary deaths and long-term illnesses. Wishing you both the very best and a full and speedy recovery, Chris. Last edited by Chris Suslowicz; 06-01-22 at 02:52. Reason: missing bracket |
