Default Part number

Andrew,

The parts manual shows C29SR 8005B for the radiator assembly. This suggests that it is even different than the earlier marks of the Lynx.

Hi Peter, as far as I can tell, radiators for both models of Lynx are the same, a couple of subtle differences probably are that the rear shroud on the back of the radiator, maybe slightly different , and one of the top outlet pipes that heads back to the engine on the Left hand side has a couple of bends in it to avoid the generator and regulator, on the Mk2 , but the outlet pipe on the actual radiator stays the same. I take it your crank hole is offset in the hull, so would coincide with an offset with the hole in the radiator core? The picture of the radiator on that generator is identical to the Indian Patterned Armored Car Chassis that were produced , being rear engine. Cheers Andrew.

Just a note to further add. The engine in the Lynx chassis does sit offset to the center line, to line up with the transfer case input shaft, That is why the crank hole will be off set in the radiator core , as the radiator itself sits evenly in the chassis, Cheers Andrew.

In Italy the guys from SPA in San Marino are restoring a LYNX II.

It seems that they found a radiator for there project but is missing the crank hole. I assume that this is a standard flathead radiator?

All the photos of there project you can seen on FB: https://www.facebook.com/SPAMilitare...13339722015624

I don't know if you can call it a "standard " flathead radiator as there are many different versions. the CMP range is quite different, the bus versions of that vintage are similar , but header tanks are different, as I said the most identical one I have seen that is almost the same is from the larger rear engine chassis' that were built. Cheers Andrew.

I asked them today and it is a original Lynx radiator that was refurbished.
