Derk: I do not believe that 78-17081 is a close civilian handle. I believe it is one of the three handles listed in the parts manual, and was also used on civilian applications. If you do not have a 78-17081, you do not have the complete complement of handles that belong to the carrier.



That said, I have no doubt there will be some C01T 17081 out in our favorite surplus yard. The challenge, of course, will be to spot them in the acres of scrap.
