When I get back to work in a week or so I can shoot a photo of what the tires look like on a few different vehicles. The limber will give a good impression of what they would look like on a cmp. I note the HUA at work has tires that are marked as 9.00-16, but they look tiny compared to the regular cmps. In that case, the 8.25-16s will be a great fit. Our HUA is a deadhead, so I have been in no rush to do the tires on it.

The vehicle was cosmetically restored, but never mechanically restored. It needs a lot of work and parts, and is not currently on the restoration list. I took it to a remembrance day display a number of years back (on a trailer) and had to put a winter front on the grill to cover the fact it doesn't even have a radiator.

So I made some quick and rough measurements of the different tires tonight. The old 9.00-16 M37 tire, which is similar to the CMP 9.00-16 has a tread width of about 7.5", and an overall height of about 33". That is mounted on a cmp rim.

I measured a G-wagon tire mounted on a 16" truck rim. It had a tread width of about 6.5", and a height of about 32".

Just for fun I also measured a set of the STA chevron 10.50-16 tires mounted on CMP rims. They had a tread width of about 9.5", and a height of about 36".

Personally I like the smaller G wagon tire as opposed to the baloonish LSVW michelin tires. I especially do not like the early LSVW tire. But to each his own I guess.
