Ha, I wouldn't be surprised if it were easier to import boys than it would be to import a Boyes' Rifle! I'm sure that there would be lots of Judges and Politicians that would get right behind you.

Interesting that one of the US guns mentioned had been converted to .50BMG. The .50 cal round will chamber in a .55 Boyes, but would naturally be unsafe to fire. .50BMG blanks will however, fire quite safely in a Boyes' Rifle and it is possible to neck out widely available .50BMG cases to .55 to reload for the Boyes'. Strangely, despite not being able to own all sorts of other firearms, the .55 Boyes' Rifle is legal in Aust (It's regarded as a 5-shot bolt action rifle, naturally) and will occaisionally appear for between AU$2500 and AU$4000.
