Default worth vs value

What we are seeing is a secondary effect of 4x4 expedition touring buying up surplus M-series trailers as foundations for rugged camping support trailers. The Canadian ones were just the last good condition batch of small trailers suitable for cutting off 80% of the original fittings and accessories, and fabricating up with kitchen sliders, battery charger panels, small fridges, even tented sleeping platforms. The results look fantastic, but add another ton/tonne to the weight being moved along the trails.
