Wanted
This shield came with every 2K1 box but was only used when equiped with a Onan 10 LS -6 110 V generator . It is used to protect the wiring inside the generator compartment from the hot exhaust pipe of the Onan . Wanted to complete my restoration . Photo credit : Reg Hodgson

Onan generator shroud
This is where i am told the shroud was stored when not in use . A special bracket on the front facing wall of the generator compartment . Source : David Dunlop / Reg Hodgson .

Onan 10LS-6 Canadian contract generator
For reference : Illustration of the generator found in the user manual that was included in the dedicated tool box ( thanks Dirk Derin ) . The text in the manuel makes reference to the control panel that is omitted on the illustration . The gas tank also looks larger on the actual generator than on the illustration. I suspect the manual uses the illustration of a US Army version of the generator .

That illustration might even be from a civilian manual. Note the long fingernails on the hands ! Possibly drawn by someone not familiar with the military or even working men. (I am not being sexist here and support everyone's right to have long fingernails !)

Thank you David . You are probably right . In the past i have come across this phenomenon. Military production outpaced instructional material and civilian material was used as a stop gap solution.

Radio installation
quote : “ Philco corp of CAN LTD Wireless sets Canadian No 19 Truck cum Ground Installation kit Link Case 4 Of 7 . “ end of quote . Now that the shelving are being fabricated and that the 10LS-6 Onan generator is being serviced and the universal joints of the drive shafts are being changed , i must begin the radio installation . There was 7 boxes of it . An inventory and a diagram must exist . Does someone have it close at hand and can that someone post it please ?
