In 1976 Don Smith decided his future was in those hulls and turrets and talked the local Engineers group into helping him pull them out. Not easy, but they did it and three hulls and turrets were taken to Don's Downsview Shop.

Is there a Sikorsky S-64 role missing from this recovery event ?

Here's another "I wonder what became of it" observation. Jordan posted a Steve Guthrie photo of a Ford 15cwt. It is the same F-15A I photographed at the first OMVA rally in Paisley, Ontario in 1976. Here's my photo at Paisley (alongside the 15cwt Wireless Chev I bought soon after and now in the Oshawa collection) and Steve's photo with the same truck at Elliott's in 1980. My fuzzy recollection was it belonged to Peter Marshal. I wonder where it is now?

Default Bruce

Check my posting today. I broke the secret of where it is.

It doesn't look like this anymore though.

A dealer selling CMPs in this day and age...who'd a thunk it!!!

I can only surmise the condition is bad and the price is too high to explain why it is still there. You don't have pic, or a location so someone might drop by and have a look-see? For old times sake?

It's one of the 60cwt wireless bodies. The view is looking forward from inside the rear wireless compartment into the front office section.

One day we may get together your WIRE-3, Bergeron's WIRE-5 and my WIRE-1 HUW. But it will never be with a Command Low Power 60cwt truck to complete the set.

Thanks. I was trying to figure it out.

That would be a great line up. We’d also need the 8cwt and Gords 60cwt. Same for a line up of Otter, Fox, Lynx and C15ta.
