Default Were you talking with a French Canadian.....ruxxle....

Try the original spelling of "Ruckstell Axle"

a 2 speed rear end first introduced by Ford model T

I’ll be heading up the workshop later today so can take some measurements of my single speed rear if that helps?
Let me know what dimensions you would like, maybe someone with a 2 speed could do the same and a comparison could be made.

Hi Dave, I'm trying to work out if the Eaton 2 speed axle had a bigger differential than the standard axle for 1533X2 Chevy trucks. I don't know yet if the differential was different or the whole axle as the information seems conflicting. If I can get the dimensions of a standard and Eaton differential I can then work out if I'm right. So yes, measurement across the differential as in the attached photograph would be great.
