Default Breath of Fresh Air

Guys,

Just needed a break. Fired up the Lynx and spent a few hours running through our neighbors woodlots and trails. Had a great time.

Awesome! It's been a tough year. Any opportunity to get your MV out for a drive is great. Peter...the work that you've put into Mita is simply amazing. Maybe 2021 will be the year that I can enjoy a ride in her. All the best and look forward to meeting up again!

Default Remembrance Day

Guys,

With all the scaling back of public gatherings, we placed our own memorial to our veterans at the end of the drive.

Default Lynx Experimental Prototype

Peter. Came across this on Facebook and thought it would be of interest to you....perhaps you already know about it. Maybe if you have some extra time on your hands this winter.....?

An experimental Lynx that never saw combat, WW 2

Back Story to Photo
The Canadian-built Lynx
When the demand exceeded the capacity of Daimler, Ford Canada, in Windsor Ontario, begun production of a local derivative. The “Scout Car, Ford Mk.I”, also called the “Lynx armoured car”.
Almost identical, it was one foot taller because of the Ford transmission. The Ford engine was more powerful, but both the transmission and suspension were inferior to the Dingo’s.
In all, 3255 were delivered from 1943 to 1945.
An experimental prototype was built that mounted a 6 pdr gun on the Lynx hull.
