Default Simple answer No

Hi Pedro

As Rob points out and engine that turns but dosen't have compression may just be stuck valves. Many of us have rebuilt some really ugly engines.

As for the transmission when you say hole, how about a picture, these 4 speed transmissions were use on a lot of civilian and military vehicles. Yes parts are harder to get now than 40 years ago but they are still out there.

It really boils down to is the rest of the truck reasonably to restorable?

I've restored one very complete but lumpy HUP, one less than complete Pattern 13 C60S and one really rusty and uncomplete Pattern 12 C60L. They are now all good runners and I enjoy using and driving them.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers Phil
