Fuel tank switch over?

I have the spring just need to work out where it goes.

The pin used to connect the change over arm to the bar is normally retained with a cotter pin (split pin ?). Insert the pin from rear to front. The long hook of the spring acts as the cotter pin. The opposite end through the hole in the stand off...
