Dutch Forces in the Netherlands East Indies got many vehicles and equipment handed over from British-Indian army units in 1946.

The picture of the four trucks is of the 6th Indian Field Artillery before they (and the 145th FAR (Berkshire Yeomanry)) handed over their guns and trucks to the Dutch.

Default Dutch Military Column in Mount Slamet

This picture was taken by Hugo Wilmar and shows a Dutch military column in the eastern slope of Mount Slamet area, Central Java, during the first Police Action (politionele actie), 27 July 1947. They were from V-brigade under colonel "Jantje" Meijer.

Hello

As you are rebuilding the collection of INDIAN QUAD I post some pic of INDIAN QUAD some used by french army in INDOCHINE and other used by their onwn army.

About the previous post I remember to have store them but I am unable to find again. What I remenber is that I had create a directory full of files relative to this post (INDIAN QUAD).

Hello Serge,

Thanks for your contribution to rebuilding the database with information on the Indian Pattern FAT. I didn't think about your earlier message, so I have now merged both threads to keep all info in one place.

For now I have attached a picture of a line up of the trucks of BATT B (Battery B) of the MARBRIG (Netherlands Marines Brigade) at Waroe, Indonesia, September 1946. The four trucks in the middle are Indian Pattern FATs.

Default Dutch IPatFAT

Here's a picture I had not seen before. It is a Ford FGT to boot:
