The big differences I saw in later installation was that the AMU moved from the front fender onto that high mount on top of the spare tire carrier (and later to the corner mount on the rear left corner), the two BB42 batteries were omitted, the antenna rod holder was removed from the windshield, and the footman loops that held the spool of WD1 was not installed. As well, the late trucks had the Bendix power connector rather than the little power junction box, but even then I recall seeing a jeep or two that had the junction box installed.

I don't know how many of those changes were official, or if the units just didn't bother. With everything installed, you could just about forget about the back seat.
