Certainly the pump and mounting were a standard British item but I think that the gears were specific to the truck it was mounted to. The PTO flange mount on gearboxes was standardized but I am doubtful if that included the gear inside the gearbox that the PTO meshed with.

Yes that's true plus depends on where the pump mount is , it might be on either the LH or RH side of the gearbox

More on both English and Canadian/US PTO Compressors in THIS THREAD, including this Smith's Pump used on Austin K5 trucks.
While the Austin and Morris pumps are "Handed" differently for fitment to opposite sides of the gearbox, I think the pump end could be disconnected from the PTO adapter and swapped to the Morris PTO. |
