Following on from the info Davis linked to, if its a 46 engine it might have flat top pistons fitted. Be aware the heads will not change over , a few people have discovered the trap ! If a flat top piston type head is fitted with domed pistons disaster awaits !

This is a 216 I picked up a few years ago. It came out of a CMP truck. It still hade the original rad hoses on it.

The C60L project continues with an engine tear down of a canadian 1946 Chev 216ci. This alternative is being evaluated due to my original 1943 GM Chev 216 found to have a sump full of water. Both are seized and I'm debating which way to go. One of the lifter rods (as pictured below) was bent so I am concerned which way to go. As normal. all input gratefully accepted. =)
