I know that Dave Gordon used 10 ply 7.50x10 made for a 5.5" wide rim on his mortar, discussions have been made about using on the 6 pounder.

I have a set of the mule tires here, but they are obviously too small for the 6 pdr. I have also used the forklift tires, and can't say I am happy with the look of them either. I picked up a bunch of the tires from the M1A1 bomb cart that seem much closer to the proper size. They are a 9.00-10 rib tire made by dynatrac.

I guess a set is not the right term....a pair. I would have to look to see if they are STA or Coker.

Bear in mind the legal towing limits for unbraked trailers in the UK.

Good point forgot about that might have to rethink still found 8.25 x 10 16ply but fork lift tyres

Here are some shots of a 6 pdr tire, the bomb cart tire, and a mule tire. You can see the size differences, although they are exaggerated a little by the angles the tires are sitting. The forklift tires fall somewhere closer to the mule tires.
