Hi Mark,

If you find a supplier, just be sure you specify the correct OD. There seems to be a few different diameter canisters around. In my case the OD is 4-5/16" on a Canadian engine but Ford USA seem to be larger than Ford Canada oil filters.

The WIX 551001 shown came with two different size gaskets. The two shown were not used. One is 4-5/8" OD the other is 4-1/2" OD. I have a new gasket in mine but checking my spare filters it seems only the two larger gaskets are supplied with the filter. Before I bought the WIX filters I bought a Fleetguard 510 filter which was not the correct height but correct OD so perhaps the gasket came from that. On that basis it might be worth contacting a Fleetguard supplier. They are very much a worldwide company.

If one of the larger ones fits your cannister you are welcome to it. Can post it to you in a large envelope.
