Hi Darcy. Yes its good to keep the oil moving and batteries charged. I really don't like the idea of road salt getting on my jeeps. Luckily, Im far enough from the pavement that I can do lots of driving on gravel (snow/ice) roads without needing to worry about salt. The NDCC's leave a lot to be desired as far as handling on snow though.

Phil: so far our frost is still in the ground here, but there are a few bare spots on the gravel roads that get a muddy surface in the afternoon sun. We will be thawing out in the next month, Im sure. Still lots of snow for now...
