Default Ford CMP radiator spring bumper U-bolts

Hi Alastair,

I would say with 99.9% certainty that they are the U-bolts used to retain the "radiator spring bumpers"
If they are 3" BC of the threaded ends that is them.

You can also see, between the radiator spring and the bumper, the "Spacer- radiator bumper" which was the information you requested in a previous post. See photo.

They then go through the towing clevis bracket.
