Default way to soon.....

Very saddened today to hear of Clive's passing. My heart felt sympathies go out to Clive's family. My feelings rest with Rob and Bob's comments. A major spoke has left the MLU wheel.
If for any moment, a communal donation for a wreath from the MLU members, would be in hand , I for one, would be more than happy to contribute.
Robert

Post Loss

Our sincere condolences to Clive's family and friends.
No doubt his hard work and dedication to the Military Vehicle restoration movement will benefit us all for generations to come.

Wow. Sad to hear about this. Condolences to the family.

We lost a great guy and he will be missed. Luckily I got to meet and talk with him last year at Oshawa.

Robert,

That is very, very thoughtful of you. I will double what the members bring in on the communal donation. But we need "boots on the ground" to arrange the wreath.

Who lives close enough to Clive's family to attend his funeral and convey our condolences?

Hanno

PS: just got a message from Clive's son Richard, he will pass on the funeral details

Default making it happen.....

Well Hanno....as you've said, if anyone plans to attend the funeral and lives in the area....it would be extremely grateful. Members can PM me if needed or contact me directly at robert.morr84@gmail.com. And let us utilise the easiest way to transfer funds for all concerned.
Thanks Hanno and fellow members.....Robert

The notice was in today's newspaper. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the St John Ambulance, The GGFG Regimental Association or the SPCA. I have been in contact with Hanno privately, and can facilitate any group contributions the MLU community chooses to make.

For fullest effect, I would suggest that any donations be identified in his name from a member of the historic military vehicle community.

To Clive's Family. Please accept my sincere condolences. As others have said...shocking, wow & sad....I can’t believe it. I’m still shaking my head in disbelief.
I clearly remember first meeting Clive about 20 or so years ago at one of the Louisville SOS military shows and we remained connected ever since. I always looked forward to opportunities where we could chat such as Aquino, just a few weeks ago. His passion for militaria, military vehicles and significant contributions inspired all of us. His passing will continue to inspire as it is a reminder to all of us that life is short and we should make the most of it!
Clive, Rest in Peace. We will miss you!
Terry

Terry, thanks for this information.

I would propose that MLU will make a donation to St. John Ambulance in lieu of flowers.

Anyone wishing to chip in, please do so via this link: https://www.paypal.me/MapleLeafUp.

I will then transfer the total in name of the individuals and MLU as a whole. Anyone is of course also free to donate themselves to any of the good causes listed, if they feel the need.

Thanks in advance!

Hanno

Anyone wishing to chip in, please do so as soon as you can. I would like to finalise this over the weekend.

Terry's brother Pat is serving with St. John Ambulance, he gave some very useful tips

Thanks in advance!

Hanno

Default A few photos from Clive's service

Almost to the minute Clive's service started at 1000, and was over by 1200. Small sandwiches (with and without gluten), vegetables and dainty sticky desserts followed. Coffee and Adam's Ale were served. No hayboxes or SRD jugs seen.

I must pass along that Clive's wife and his daughter and son spoke appreciatively of the presence of the military vehicles and the Ferret in the procession.
