I have seen them in Green, but of foreign manufacture. I suspect the Canadian army knew the Bren was being replaced so did not go into a wide scale replacement program to the green. I bought about 50 of the wallets full with their stores a couple years back, and they were all tan with the exception of a couple painted black for the Rifles.

As to your being new to Brens, everybody has to start sometime. The Brens are a gorgeous gun with a well documented history. A guy could make a collection of just Brens and their accessories (loaders, sights various marks and calibers) and take many years just doing that.
