CBI theatre image: I think it has to be Rangoon (there are tramlines visible) after the Japanese were ousted.

A seller on Ebay currently has these pics, which feature an interesting background:

But it's not until you get up close to the background that you realise that these should be in the "Under new management" thread!

Great stuff, shows how much the German Army had to rely on capturing equipment to keep on fighting.

Not only the truck, but also the pictures seems to have been "captured". If you spend some time searching on the internet, many if not most of these photos can be found online. Looks like this seller's business is reselling photos found in the public domain....

While not necessarily in the background of a photo, this is in the background of a tragic story in our Corona Virus times. A recent story was published on the Sydney Morning Herald's site (you can read it here: https://www.smh.com.au/national/fare...03-p55rx6.html) that featured a pic of a New Zealand Army F30 during CMT days in the 50's or 60's. Good clear pics of the NZ F30 are few and far between, so enjoy.

Default Swords into ploughshares.

May not be right in the background but this little C15A found a job after the war with Central Motors the General Motors Holden garage in Stanthorpe, Queensland.
