If anyone has a copy of the 1962 Edition of the Canadian Army Manual of Training CAMT 7-30, Battalion and Company Machine Guns, there is a photo on page 257 of M38A1 53-32194 sporting the M31C Pedestal Mount with a Browning .50 Cal HB.
I have seen a number of the M38A1's over the years with the floor drilled for installation of these mounts, and usually there is a reinforcing plate added under the floor. David
