Bob Wingrove observes the coach "was painted in a blue/cream livery for the film work, as apparently the BBC liked the look of the coach but thought that the red livery looked too much like a London bus.". Thank you very much for the reply and also for the link. It is much appreciated

I suppose the buses on screen website makes sense - there are train-spotters and ex-military motor vehicle spotters; um like us So why not bus spotters.
