hello
I'm looking for more information about this radio for make a new article in a magazine like the one i do for the WS18 and other british manpack.
I'm looking for know how many of this radio were made during the war.
I'm looking after photos from the identification plate on other radio and hand generator.

From a US Army document called "Statistics-Procurement" published in 1952 the US made 30,545 WS48s and 28,995 hand generators.

They also made 86,702 of the American version of WS19 MKII.

It's said that an army marches on it's stomach could explain why the US Army procured 1,617,117 quarts of whisky.

For this set you can find two different cable with 5 pins connectors for the generator hand 10 watts MARK II.
The difference is the size
The one on left, 110cm, and the one on the right 214cm.

Hello
My last little comeback, the static battery specific to the WS48 which completes my set. Even if I knew about it because it is pictured in the manual, a great first for me to see one in real life
