The Japanese preferred diesel engines . Apparently this was because of a fire that occurred in one of their early prototype tanks which was petrol powered.

I read somewhere, that jap tanks came up against early M3 Stuarts in the Philippines 1942. Is this true ? Movie ..with Banzai screams and a V8 ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeeOsWaEAik the real thing here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F_NV_PYlM8
