1942 CMP 15cwt Markings

Bruce,
You seem to know what's what with CMP markings. I'm in the process of making vinyl letters on my vinyl cutter to do the templates for the door CZ identification. I get the CZ then the year but what goes next. Something to do with what number in which the truck was received or how many? I have the year and month of manufacture and the chassis ser. number and the engine serial number. Perhaps you can set me straight before I go ahead and make these tomorrow.

The number on the door was called the census number and is one from a range allotted to a contract for eg. 15-cwt trucks. An example is:

- Chevrolet 15cwt 4x4 GS, Contract no SM 6439, census number range Z6185311 to Z6185998
