Jesse,
We had similar winter projects. I hope to have mine installed in the next couple of weeks. Allen

Cool! Looks great! Are you using original parts? Mine is plate steel with 150 pounds of lead poured in it. The propane, oxygen fittings are hidden inside.

The breach ring itself is made out of 2 inch thick plate steel that was welded together and then the outside contours were machined using a 3 axis computer driven mill as well as a standard mill. The block weighed in excess of 200 pounds before it was milled, but we did not weight it afterwards. Like yours the hardware for the propane cannon is hidden inside. The breach opening handle and the buffer are original pieces. I was fortunate that when I received my Sexton from SECO it had the original barrel that had been cut and also one complete set of breach ring parts and about 2/3rds of a second set along with two breach blocks. They were all neatly tucked inside the radio compartment.
Allen

Those are some Great breach jobs guys! I have the same idea myself to make it look real by shoot propane. More detailed pics of the build would be nice

Finally, after 7 years on the forum, I learned how to attach pictures. Thanks to my son for his help. All my pictures were hijacked by the well known host. It took several days to find, resize and attatch them. Ive got lots of time. I cant see well at all now, and my concentration is bad. Most of the time when I have to use several windows, I forget what I am looking for. I don't have a computer, only a tablet. The only way I can resize the pictures is to email them to myself.
