Phil

I have seen rotisseries made out of the inexpensive engine stands like the ones available from Harbor Freight. One I looked at was for a jeep tub the guy was doing and he simply used a piece of pipe to join one engine stand to the other with a couple extra holes drilled into the "T" leg to allow for a nut and bolt on each one to hold it all together. He did however extend the lengths of the cross tube for better balance.

Default Plans on the web.....

Lots of photos and plans available on the web..... various models from cheap to oversize....... easy to copy and do on your own.

I have been accumulating steel tubing and plans on using a 60:1 reducion gear box which will make it easy to rotate with the impact wrench and the screw gear ratio acts as a brake. My plans are for trailer hitch 1/4 wall tubing 2 " OD and 2" ID 1/4 in. tubing for sliding purposes.

I will incorporate ideas from multiple models. I will need it for the repro of the cargo box.

Cheers
