Muzzle covers
Hi all,
Speaking of muzzle covers, can anyone help me identify this one please? I'm assuming it is a muzzle cover. It is dated 1944 inside the cover. The diameter at the end is about 7", or around 180mm.

Hi Mel,
Thanks for that. I certainly don't have a 5.5" gun so it is of no use to me. I'll put it in the for sale section and see if it is of use to anyone.

Muzzle cover
Hi Mel,
It looks like I've answered my own question. I pulled the cover inside out and got under some good light and it says: COVER MUZZLE 3.7 ? 1944 ? It seems big for a 3.7" barrel but I guess if it had the big flared muzzle brake it would be right. I should have looked harder in the first place! Thanks for your help.
