If it is an on off on switch, would it be the same as the fuel gauge switch of the CMP? (which is an on off on one)

The British carrier used a round (surface mounted) bakelite switch with a bakelite lever to change over from blackout to tail lights at the rear. I think this switch was also used on some of the smaller trailers for the same thing.
