Rubber?

I have only seen leather ones. That said, I have used rubber as a quick fix. The rubber boot for a M38A1 Jeep master cylinder will do the trick quite nicely (ommitting the springs mind you), but it's longevity will be nothing like the leather.

For leather, they can be sewn up fairly easily by hand.
