Back from the dead.

I visited Wobbies World in 1986 for my best friend's 15th birthday. Among other things, we rode the Carrier, and my young military mind resulted in disappointment, as there were no Bren guns! I seem to recall getting a token, or a medallion to say I'd ridden in it.

Mind you, I was more interested in swinging the tail boom of the Bell 47 helicopter, to see if I could hit the kids who were waiting in the queue! I was a turd of a kid, sometimes!

Around then, I'd started visiting Moorabbin Air Museum, and I'm still involved there, three decades on. At the time, I was unaware that the Vickers Viscount airliner belonged to Moorabbin, but I'd find out when involved in its move back to the museum a decade later.

Good times!

Cheers,
Matt
