I had a chance to take a better look at my grill.
The grill is a 1970 with the center mount. The frame matches this and has the reinforced, boxed frame rails. What is weird about this setup is that it also has hinges on the grill and frame the same as a 1953 version. Why? who knows... The frame hinges look like they were added for sure.
