One of the vets in town lamented about fighting the Chinese in Korea with the PPCLI. He claimed to have used the M1 carbine. He was at the battle of Kapyong and said he shot his rifle so much he could hardly hold it anymore it was so hot...
BTW, he is also one of the last survivors of the PPCLI Hockey tournament on the Imjin River...
