Hi Lynn

Trial and (no) error will be your best bet. I ordered over long sections, put the floor elbow and muffler on the hull measure the gap and add on the parallel section from the elbow and muffler ends. You should get a nice snug fit this way.

I suspect if someone gives you a number it could vary between muffler manufacturer and the sands of time letting things move around.
