Good find.

I reckon that if you clean carefully around the vertical surface below the lid you will find that that one was made at Ford, Geelong. I have one here with the ID. stamped around that edge.

There is on on a pole in the gardens in Bairnsdale as a time capsule set up in 1999/2000.
