Hi there -
Are you sure the CT number was CT-29718 and not CT-29118 ? T-29718 was part of contract S/M 1014 for General Grant tanks (T-29141 to T-29790)... CT-29118 (if it is) was part of Canadian contract CDL V-73 to Ford of Canada. This was for Universal Carriers with Census numbers from CT-28841 to CT-29140... If the number is CT-29118, then I hold that as having been issued to the Royal Highlanders of Canada in November 1941. Hope this helps Roddy

thanks roddy, to be honest I'm not sure what it says on the side and ct29718 was just my opinion of what it said but it is obviously not a grant
 so you may well have hit the nail on the head.here's a better pic. thanks again for your help. rick
