Default Fire extinguisher and roof hatch pad

Hi
Here is another set of questions.
Does any one know if it is correct that the fire extinguisher was placed to the right of the driver, beneath the sidewindow ? on a Cab 12 GT
There are six holes in the side placed in pairs at an angle.
The placement and distance between these holes corresponds well to the size of a Pyrene extinguisher, The problem is that on all the british vehicles I have seen/worked on the bracket for a Pyrene have 5 mounting holes.

Did the Canadians use a different bracket than the british? and if so how does it look and where do I find one?
Second question
In wartime pictures it looks like there was a pad on the inside of the roof, does any one have any dimensions or pictures of this and know how it was attached? there are no visible holes in the hatch of mine for a pad.
Cheers
