Hello Rick,
I thought you might need one, i'm also having a go at the plungers for the vision shutters, i think you needed them to? Thanks for your input, its not BSP, from lynns drawing i think its about 14-15 tpi we're looking for and BSP is 11. BSF is 7 tpi, so i'm still not sure. How round is the starting handle plate on your carrier rick? John |

it's in great condition although maybe a little bit of corrosion on the threads but if you need it give me a shout and i'll take it off for you.

I'll try and remember to bring a thread gauge home from work to confirm the pitch.
All I did was work out the diameter and machine the thread at the correct TPI a little at a time, trying the "nut" until I got a good fit. It'll be easy on a cnc mill, I was using an old fashioned Myford, winding it off and reversing before it bottoms out. Not something I want to do again ![]() John's the man for the job ![]() |
