Thanks heaps for that information, I am missing a few bits of mine, interesting about the shifter being a common part throughout many models...

I do have the Ford MB-F1 workshop manual, or parts of it. didn't really show me what I needed to see in the transmission section though.

I was looking for parts the other day and came across a company called VanPelt sales, they specialise in Ford running gear parts of this era. do you know whether they are any good?
