Default Lincoln V12 sound

Quote:
Just an idea as it would still sound like a flathead (part of the carrier appeal!)
It does sound like a flathead because it is one, but rather than V8 it sounds like a lumpy V12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0jmXgBChes

Kevin, If your serious, A 350 Chev with an auto would be much cheaper, would fit in better (length wise) rev nearly twice as high, and shag your track gear really fast
The V12 Ford is expensive to rebuild (btw,it has smaller bores than the v8) But they do look nice.

I have a Chev smallblock in the Frankencarrier, with a 4 speed. It is actually about 4 inches longer than the original package. On the frankencarrier, the "division plate" has been moved forwards to make space and the glacis plate cut to make room for the seat and driver, probably why the carrier also was converted to tiller bars. The power is nice to have, but the flathead sound is missing. I'm thinking I might replace it with a straight-6 down the road.

What's all this crap about trying to put a chov in a FORD put Ford part in a Ford and keep your Chev. crap were it belongs
install a good 302 fuel injected or a 351 in they fit excellent and you don't have to worry about not having enough power!

Somebody is touchy... Have you been to a hotrod show lately and noticed all the Chevy smallblocks in the Fords? I think we can all agree that although the Ford flathead v8 is a neat engine, it isn't the best engine out there...

What makes a flatty cool is its uniqueness.
There is nothing better than seeing a hopped up flathead with a 3 duece intake in a nice roadster streetrod...
