Mystery carry-all?

This carry all turned up a week ago. It was made by Evan Evans, Elizabeth St. Melbourne. No markings other than the makers label. I have included it here as the fabrication or style of the item is very similar to a CMP (or AMF) MT medical pouch I have an image of which was on ebay some time back. Any ideas?? Rod
